with the Papal Protests and Gospel Witnesses

UNPRECEDENTED OPPORTUNITY

The Pope’s visit is a truly historic event. It is the first official invite to the UK of any Pope in history! This is no ordinary event. This is a once in a generation event, and may even be the one and ONLY time the Pope will visit in your lifetime.

• It is also therefore, unprecedented, because of who the Pope is and because of what he claims. Here is  a man with unashamed pretensions for global domination not just of the church but the world at large. Regardless of your position with regard to the identity of the anti Christ what no true believer can deny is that the Pope is the head of an anti-Christ establishment. 
• This means this visit is more than a simple protest or Gospel witness. This is a STAND for the truth of God's word against the head of the greatest earthly enemy of biblical Christianity the world has ever known- the Roman Catholic system. 
• Opportunity to remind the Nation of our Protestant Biblical Constitution, heritage and culture and the many blessings we have undeservedly received because of it.
  
• Worlds media behind us. The worlds media will be on the lawn right behind us on the 17th outside Westminster. 

This is why I am making a final appeal to all 'fence sitters' or those who may have let other engagements and activities prevent them from attending one of the events during the Papal visit.

Few have an excuse not to attend one of these events. The vast majority of us have the health, means and ability to attend and ninety five percent of us live within a few hours travel of any one of these events.

If you are undecided or have not made the decision to attend an event - I beseech you in the name of the Lord and for His sake and glory – to change your mind – to rearrange your calendar and do all you can to attend one of these events.

If there was ONE day I'd suggest setting aside it is Friday the 17th in London. The Protest outside Westminster Abbey is not only an opportunity to 'contend' but also an opportunity, for any who wish to do so, to join our tract distribution team in witnessing to all those poor souls trapped in, and deceived by, that master piece of deception - Popery.

Please dear brother or sister in Christ - all we are asking is to stand with us for an hour or two and hand out a few tracts if you want. You don't even have to hold a placard as we are anticipating many more people than we have placards.

Surely - this is not too much to ask to spend a little time and money for the Lord of glory. That precious Lord and beautiful Saviour. The wonderful guide and counsellor. The Prince of peace, the Almighty God, our protector, our refuge, our provider - who has promised to never leave us or forsake us.

Surely - surely - the precious cleansing blood of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ means more than this to any believer?

HOWEVER this short message not only to encourage your participation but to also an appeal for us to Cooperate and Coordinate our efforts together.

This is no ordinary gospel witness. It cannot be viewed as a 'normal' witness you may hold with your local church or friends. This is not simply getting a few hundred tracts and a few fellow saints going out for a few hours on a Saturday into the local high street. This is a ONCE in a lifetime opportunity to present the gospel to HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of Roman Catholics and other interested parties within a few days.

Where else will you EVER get that many Roman Catholics together again? NO WHERE....and it is my view many reading to this will NEVER have this opportunity again.

WHY WE SHOULD COOPERATE AND COORDINATE TOGETHER

Apart from the protest outside Westminster Abbey on 17th all the other witnessing events will be fluid and changeable both in the lead up to the day and even during the days involved. This is reason enough for you to consider cooperating and coordinating with us.

HIGH SECURITY

Normal rules of engagement with regard to tract distribution do not apply when the Pope visits. Whole streets and even Motorways will be closed. Many areas will be declared 'sterile' (free from ALL vehicles and people) by the Police - probably even from the night before. We have already seen heavy handed police treatment of a few ladies who were simply holding a few hand written placards and photos of people abused by Roman Catholic Priests outside the Popes residence in London - and he isn't even here yet!

In addition the Police and authorities are often ignorant of the laws regarding tract distribution and public witness and so people need to be able to contact those experienced in these matters should they be experiencing difficulties. We can't do that if we all go and 'do what is right in our own eyes'.

We need to cooperate and coordinate so that we all know what's going on as the situation will not only change between now and the days involved - but will change on the day too.

USING THE SAME TRACTS

I'm not going into the pros and cons now but after much prayer and discussion with many who intend to witness at these events it was agreed that the very best method to reach as many people as possible was to simply mingle in the crowds and hand out tracts. Interestingly even those people we have heard are intending to do their own witness are likely to be using the same tracts as us. So why not coordinate and cooperate so that we can pool all our tracts and EVERYONE can know where we are and where to go for more tracts?

DISTRIBUTION OF TRACTS

You must consider that we cannot simply take a few tracts and walk about as we may do in most normal witnessing events.

1. More tracts than usual - they are HEAVY 
2. we are unlikely to be able to park nearby 
3. multiple locations – to be able to replenish stocks easily 

So, we will need ‘bodies’ to help transport the tracts to the various locations because even if we can park nearby – where do we park? We can’t even make that decision yet because we don’t know where we will be able to park highlighting why we need to all be together before hand to plan and organise and help transport tracts to where they are needed most.

Multiple ‘Tracting Points’

There will need to be multiple 'tracting' points to cover the areas involved and if we don't organise ourselves we may all end up in the same spot or be so far apart that if one group runs out of tracts they won’t be able to replenish stocks as the tracts are too far away.

Take Hyde Park for example.......even if we managed to get the tracts to one side of the park it will be a long walk just to go to the other side of the park to get more tracts because it will be so crowded.

How do we do all this well - if we don't cooperate and coordinate?

PRESENT A UNITED PROTESTANT STAND

Consistently and persistently the Roman Church and its supporters will point to their 'unity' as proof they are the one true church and the Protestant Church is not a church ' in the true sense' because we are so fragmented and quarrelsome. Besides the world seldom sees the face of true Biblical Christianity. What better opportunity do you suppose will come along for us to present a UNITED front than this Papal visit?.

An opportunity to show the world that true Christianity is not the madness they see on so called 'Christian' Television or the pomp and ritual of the Roman and apostate Anglican Churches. It is ordinary every day people like you and me that have been born again of the spirit of God. Who have a new heart, new outlook, new priorities. We are a joyful people with a new master and following a new beat - that of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

My friend the world is crying out for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and we must not let this opportunity slip by. Let's look at the bigger picture and understand that for a few days at least - we can pray together - act together - fellowship together for the glory of God. Who knows – this may even lead to bigger and better things together in the future.

So, let’s come together as Bible believing Christians and take to the street with a joy in our hearts, a spring in our steps and a trust in the power of God to the saving of multitudes.

So this is an appeal to you, especially if you are planning a church or small group witness of your own to consider what I am about to present to you and come and join us TOGETHER.

SOME REASSURANCE

One

I understand about concerns some may have regarding keeping their witness pure and working together with people they may never have met. So here are some reassurances.

We will be using full colour professionally produced tracts by well known converted Roman Catholic Priest Richard Bennett.

1. 'What every Catholic Should know' (WECSK) 
2. 'Are you right with God' (AYRWG) (Kindly donated by the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London). This is more detailed (6 x A5 sides). 

Because, at this last hours I feel we do not have enough tracts I have produced a tract at the last minute that I am photocopying with in my garage because at this late hours no printers will print it in time. I am hoping to have at least 5,000 but hopefully 10,000 printed.

It will be plain black and white but have a message applicable to Roman Catholics – and indeed any who profess or follow a false religion (and none) and so could easily be used after the papal visit if any are left over and also it means we have something to give to no Roman Catholics should we continue witnessing after the papal crowds have dispersed.

So......We will be handing out the WECSK tract with each person having approx 20 of the AYRWG in case of a conversation as the AYRWG tract is more detailed than the WECSK and probably too much (6 x A5 sides) to be used as a tract.

The contact details on both tracts will be directed to me (Andy Clarke at Christian Watch) using a unique and specific email concerned@areyourightwithgod.com and then through the Protestant Truth Society to the most appropriate ministry to Roman Catholics to deal with their enquiry or questions.

In addition I (Andy Clarke) have personally put the contents of the AYRWG tract on my own domain at www.AreYouRightWithGod.com with additional resources and a place to ask questions and all enquires will be dealt with in the same way as above.

Two

You can still work and operate in your own groups. We understand and indeed encourage people who know and work together to stay together. All we are suggesting is work together with us in preparation beforehand so we can estimate the numbers involved, organise tract distribution, where the best place for people to go etc.

So all we ask is the following:

1. Register for any event you plan to attend (giving your Mobile telephone number so we can text on the day with developments). 
2. Advise and promote these events and details to those you know who may come and encourage them to register their intent with us. 
3. Meet together with us at the arranged locations before the events for prayer and planning. 
4. Come and have fellowship with us afterwards - if you want. 
5. ...and if you can – come and help us fold tracts (10,000) on Thursday evening at Westminster Baptist Church, 100 Horseferry Road, London SW 

That's it.

If you are intending to come to witness at one of these events you'll probably be using the same tracts. You'll probably meet up with us anyway. So why not cooperate and coordinate for a better, more efficient witness and then leave all the FRUIT in the hands of the Lord as he has promised in his infallible and inerrant word that his word will NEVER return void.......but the Word has to be spread for that to be true!

PRAYER

This is not a request for prayer inserted in because that’s what we are supposed to do, but a REAL and EARNEST request to set aside time both personally and corporately to cry to God to have mercy on us as a nation for our stiff necks and hard,  disobedient hearts. Pray that this Papal visit may not be the judgment we deserve but an awakening chastisement to return with renewed vigour and zeal to the Word of God.

Please pray:

1.    That the Lord may go before us and order events and circumstances for His glory.

2.    Pray for opportunity to present the Gospel and our stand for the truth individually, and collectively to those in the crowds and through the media.

3.    Pray for media opportunities and for the words to speak.

4.    Pray that the National Advert by the Protestant Truth Society (PTS) may be used to remind the people of our nation that it was faithfulness to God’s word that mad this country great and it is a return to this very same Word and the only true and living God revealed in that Word - that is needed most.

5.    Fill us with the Holy Spirit that we may walk close with Him and be worthy witnesses.

6.    Pray for hearts prepared and made fertile to receive the gospel seed planted by our witness and tract distribution

7.    Oh and pray that God may be glorified in all we do and say.

'Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not' (Jer 33:3).

God is able – will we be faithful?
